300-Word Reflection: When I was thinking polar opposites, it took me a really long time to think of one. I was first considering my cats and their color difference, but they were not cooperating with me and my camera. I had to rethink my ideas and I was set on hot and cold, but I was not quite sure how I was going to pursue it. Then I was drinking my tea and the lightbulb went off. The steam coming up from the tea and the ice cube could work perfectly. The steam was at a perfect angle and shows how the light steam is only melting the ice cube ever so slightly. This was kind of a hard project because it took me a while with the steam and how well it was coming out in the photograph. I ended up looking on Google how to capture steam in a picture and after I read that article, that boosted my confidence for taking a picture of the steaming cup of tea. The ice cube was easier to capture, but at first was not melting in room temperature. I took action and used a ligh...

Explanation: This image came from the tree that is outside near the "roundabout" or the entrance to student parking. What captivated me the most about this image and how it came to be was the composition and shapes of the leaves on the tree and how it shows every little detail and speck on the branch. Originally the color of the leave was a turquoise, but using Lightroom and Photoshop, I was able to display my personality with a calming light blue and this displays a soft, calming, and satisfied looking photo.

ISO: 20000 F-Stop: f/6.3 Shutter Speed: 1/800 ISO: 25600 F-Stop: f/4.5 Shutter Speed: 1/800 By: Nasim Mansurov The reason why I picked this image is because for the audience, they can see this image in multiple lights and this forms multiple interpretations. For example, when I first saw this picture, I thought it was a bunch of turtles stacked into the shape of rocks! As I kept looking more in depth of the picture, I realized it was a clear lake with visible rocks underwater which is beautiful and serene.

Thank You For The Advice! I think this is a better take on the angles because I was able to edit the original photo and change the filter and zoom in for the reflection of the houses on the glass of water itself! This is the backyard of the house and I wanted the glass of water to represent where I live especially on the water!

Composition: Contrast ISO: 500 F-Stop: f/8 Shutter Speed: 1/200 This picture was captivating for me because of the green background with the prominent white flowers. The white flowers bring out the brightness and lighting in the picture with the texture of the green leaves. Also the bundle of the four flowers going in different directions gives the audience a new perspective and makes the audience satisfied. Composition: Leading Lines ISO: 160 F-Stop: f/11 Shutter Speed: 1/100 This is another one of the my favorites because the overall picture is mostly surrounded by darkness but the little bit of light shines through. The leading lines come from the sun because that "flash" attracts the audience's eye to the little bit of the sunset in the background instead of someone taking a picture of a huge sunset. Also, the colors of the houses have a "reflection" and draws the audience's eyes to the variety of colors shown. ...
